GTD, in collaboration with Jeffrey R. Reynolds, Ph.D., Multimedia Designer and writer, Aldore Collier, were commissioned to assist in the conceptualization of the new, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Center in Albuquerque, NM, leading to a formal Master Plan.

Together, they first facilitated in bringing into focus the client’s core message. From this “kernel,” combined with the greater scope of content and programmatic elements, each consultant began to contribute to the overall concept. GTD began to conceptualize the visual expression of this “connected core intent.” With a content-driven approach, the visual aesthetic began to emerge, forming the future basis of a unique identity and its design development. The creative goal is to have every aspect of the center, from the smallest graphic to the building itself, to first connect with the public at an intuitive level, then an objective one. This will insure that regardless of future circumstances, the center will be a “timeless” connection and communication with the public.
